We started BeART World JAPAN to change that — to carry the work of rural artisans across the language, the distance, and the gatekeepers, into spaces designed with intention.
We began by meeting creators whose work deserved to be seen beyond their local communities. Many had spent decades refining their craft, yet remained largely undiscovered outside their region.
Founded in Sapporo in 2023, BeART World JAPAN works directly with artists and artisans across Japan, connecting their work with designers, hospitality groups, collectors, and cultural spaces worldwide. Through direct relationships, cultural context, and documented provenance, we help meaningful work find meaningful places.
We began with a simple belief: meaningful work deserves meaningful context. Today, creator works sourced through BeART World JAPAN can be found in hospitality and retail spaces, with new relationships continuing to grow across Japan and beyond.
