Mino ware has a long history, dating back to the 5th century, when techniques were introduced from the Korean Peninsula. This style flourished during the Azuchi-Momoyama period, where it became closely tied to the culture of tea ceremonies. Mino ware is unique for its diversity, with 15 distinct styles recognized as traditional crafts.
